St Patrick's Space Week 2020

As part of our school STEM program, again this year we will be participating in Ireland's national initiative: SPACE WEEK. In parallel with World Space Week. Space Week Ireland is taking place from the 4th to the 10th of October. It is a week where we the people of Ireland are asked to focus on:

Our Planet, Our Space, Our Time

During Space Week our children will investigate the universe, origins of the solar system, the planets and moons of our solar system and look at space exploration. As parents, we can look forward to seeing amazing drawings and stories from our children and anyone who finds interesting facts about space can email them to  Sorcha Ryan on sorcharyan@stpns.ie. who will send selected facts out to parents and feature them on this page!

BE SURE TO CHECK THIS PAGE REGULARLY DURING THE WEEK FOR UPDATES!

OUR SPACE...
Draw a picture of the planet you would like to visit in our solar system and all the items you would bring along with you OR write a piece about which planet you would like to visit, why you want to visit it and all the things you would need/ bring to your planet. Also include what you think it would be like there!

You can do this at home with your parents and send it into your teacher by email by Thursday evening 8th October and the teachers will select ones that will be showcased on our lovely new website!
