This year our captain is Faith Brock. Our coach is Aaron, with others as well sometimes.
So far this year we have played a blitz, two league matches and a friendly match.
We are now in the semi-final of our league, which is taking place
on Wednesday the 8th of March
in Loreto School (Bray)
(against St. Laurence's NS!)
We have also noticed that in our school trophy cabinet has had just one thing missing... there is no girls' hockey trophy. We plan to make a immediate change to that!
Our matches have been exciting, tiring and special. Our class has been especially behind us all the way - as well as our school.
The first match we played we won, with great excitement for what lay ahead of us.
That led us to our second match, where we carried the excitement right through to the end with a win of 3-1!
The third match, our friendly, was played against Guardian Angles. Unfortunately we lost it, but that also woke us up, for in the second half of that match we gave it our all, and we were unlucky not to gain a second goal.
We definitely have had our ups and downs but we have a good feeling about our semi-final coming up on Wednesday (the 8th of March at 3:30, on the Loreto hockey pitch in Bray).
We hope to have lots of support from everybody,
whether you are a parent from our class,
a professional hockey player,
or just a great cheerleader!
Please come! The whole team would appreciate it, we can guarantee that.
We can also guarantee that it will be great fun and, win or lose, we will give it our all and run 'til our legs might just fall off.
