Ukrainian Culture Day 2025

On Friday 13th June our Ukrainian families here in St. Patrick's kindly organised a festival of culture, music, food and fun. As there are no longer flights to Ukraine they decided that the theme of the day was to fly St. Patrick's NS to Ukraine for 2.5 hours. The sports hall was turned into an airport leading to many cultural experiences around the school including dance performances, drama, games, food etc. It was a wonderful opportunity for all of our students to learn about and appreciate the rich traditions of Ukraine, while celebrating friendship, diversity and inclusion in our school community. It was especially meaningful for our displaced families to feel welcomed and embraced by our community.
