First Class have been learning all about Place Value and Miss. Flynn is SO impressed at the progress being made. We’ve spent lots of time with base ten materials sorting units and re-grouping sticks of ten. We made our own notation boards to help record this.
We’ve also been learning about Summer and Irish wildflowers. We took a stroll around our beautiful school grounds to collect some flowers and brought them back to the classroom to identify them. Thank you to Ms. Creed and Ms. Cashell for helping us with some of the unknown flowers! We look forward to learning about the different parts of a plant and how they work. We’ll also be conducting an experiment to show the function of a plant stem.
