2nd class Holly have been loving space week so far! Throughout the week they have done lots of work and experiments on space. They learned about Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11. They got to listen to a real astronaut tell a story about space, while up in space!
They studied the sun and why it is needed. To prove this, they did a science experiment on a basil plant to see how well it grew in the sun and in darkness.
They also studied a poem called 'Alien' by Julie Holder. They each illustrated a line from the poem and these have been hung up on their display board. Finally 2nd class Holly studied the stars and constellations. They created their own constellations using their own name.
